Payday Notice: What Must Be Filled In
Colorado requires employers to post their regular paydays and the time and place where employees will be paid, as required by C.R.S. § 8-4-107. The official Colorado Department of Labor and Employment (CDLE) “Notice of Paydays” allows employers to display this information physically or electronically, as long as employees can easily access it.
If your pay schedule or payment method changes, the notice must be updated. State rules also require that pay periods cannot be longer than one month, and payday must be no later than ten days after the pay period ends. Workwise includes this fill-in Payday Notice in every Colorado labor poster set. To complete it, you’ll need:
- Pay frequency (weekly, bi-weekly, semi-monthly, etc.)
- Specific payday
- Where and how wages are paid (direct deposit, mailed check, on-site pickup)
Our Colorado labor law posters also include all required state and federal notices. Each location should display the most current version, and we track CDLE updates so replacements are sent automatically.
FAQs
What labor law and minimum wage posting rules apply in Colorado for 2026?
Colorado employers are required to post both state and federal labor law notices so employees understand their pay, benefits, and workplace rights. The Colorado minimum wage increases to $15.16 per hour on January 1, 2026, and postings must reflect this change. Employers must also post notices related to paid sick leave, paid family and medical leave, wage protections, and workplace safety.
